The G20 summit opens in London in a very tense social climate. We decided to mark this event with a map of the current crisis representing the rise in unemployment in G20 countries since July of 2007 (crisis start date) until firt quarter of 2009. You can see the basic tendency and the rise for each quarter and for each country. The global map allows you to quickly see massive scope of the current world’s crisis.

To use this map just choose the quarter in the tabs at the top of the map, then select the country. For each country you will see a global tendency towards growth of unemployement since 2007 up to the present, as well as the latest collected data. The numbers are sourced from the annual World Employment report recently published by the International Labour Office. The last updates are sourced from the national agencies.
